Good video (though honestly, the audio sucks), and an interesting test. I think the test really helped me to get a better sense of how I really see the opportunities I’m looking at right now. Of the two paths I’m looking at right now, the one I’ve been working on for most of this year actually scores a bit lower than the other, which has quite recently come into sight, and the first one is also not quite in the 4-5 range, which is important, I think. It has given me the idea to see if there’s any way I can apply some of the concepts in the first project to this newer one… I’ll have to see. So, the test has helped clarify things a bit for me. Thanks!

I liked the video and the clear measured way you took us through the six keys. My score was just under 4 which surprised me as I thought I was more ‘up’ for developing my business.
I particularly liked the section on ‘Are you ready?’ It has made me realise that I am not discriminating my target audience as well as I could. The ‘Embracing your passion’ section renewed my sense that my business ( decluttering) is what I am good at- I just need to be clearer about target audience and the sharpen up the value for others.
The test was ‘intelligent’! Asked key questions which took me to take a reality check of where I am at. I now have a great action plan!
Will share this with other self employed friends.

Hey Jonathan…Thank you sooo much for this!! You are da bomb!! Ok – so I took the test and I have to say, it definitely made me think wholeheartedly about my pursuits. I make body care products and I have a book. Normally, people are attracted to the products b/c there is an exchange yet there seems to be more of an attitude of ‘support’ for the book which is wonderful yet I am wondering how that will generate income. Oh and I forgot to mention, the writing = passion for me and the bodycare products = fun… but fun that is synonymous to a good time…sometimes you feel like it and sometimes you don’t type of fun…Does that make sense? So finally, taking the test, question#13- ‘Putting yourself in your customer’s shoes, would you be willing to pay for what you’re offering?’ was key and actually visualizing that, I guess the products outweigh my passion….then I thought, maybe I need to focus on a different type of book or a good screenplay…I’m open to feedback…Thanks again for definitely providing outstanding value and doing something epic!

This is something I have been thinking about and taking a closer look at lately. How to take my existing business and turn it into something more authentic and enjoyable.
I have issues playing the video. It keeps stopping and loading every 5 seconds or so. I have tried Firefox and Chrome. Is there a special plug-in needed? I guess it could be that many people are choosing to watch the video right now and the server is slow…

I would say I have been on my own personal journey for what I have termed “My Search For Significance” all my Life(I am a young man of 55:-)) …I have done a variety of things in my work career over the years and now as I get older I feel (especially in the last 5 years) an URGENCY to create a legacy of worth & value that taps my unique gifts in order to benefit others.
My friend Tony teegarden passed your info. my way,,,just at the right time I might add as I am getting ‘deep’ into this ,,,I am Pursuing just what you outlined so adeptly…I have pretty much dropped all my other IM efforts …I MUST FIND, OUTLINE & SHARE My Passion!!!

I have been experiencing exactly what you express in your video. Asking many of the same questions (though not to the depth you provide!). Alternating between cycles of doubt and hope.
You hit home on so many fronts, that it felt like you were talking directly to me. You are good!
I have identified what I realize are Passion + Profits ideas, and came to you after having read some business plan articles by Harvard Business (yawn). While these provide the concepts and physical “tools,” they did not provide the spiritual and mental direction I needed. And that was sucking out my passion and increasing my fear.
I see how you have applied exactly what you teach to your life.
And how I have been approaching this half-assed (due to doubts) but also ass-backwards. As *I* am my business plan. And by investing in myself, I can answer a resounding “Yes!” to those Five Key Questions.
I started out in one place
before I watched this video, and now am at a completely different, much more positive place.

Wow, I’ve gone through a lot of material that is supposed to help you discover a business around your passion and this is the best I’ve come across.
I had 2 ideas in mind when I took this test. The question that really helped to weed out which one to pursue was the question “Is there no end in sight”?
If you love learning about and doing something so much that you can’t imagine an end to the learning and doing, that’s a great indication you’ve got the right passion and I think, something to build a business around.

This is great! I’ve been working on “finding myself” for a while now. I have learned quite a bit about personal living, and I’ve been toe-dipping in the things I love as I’ve recently become a stay-at-home mom, which has given my time to soul search. As many of the comments above, what I thought I’d pursue changed to something that honestly, I threw in there to make 10 choices! But as I considered your questions, I quickly discovered that I have the solution to a problem that is growing every day. My passion is writing, and the topic is not only dealing with your spouse’s ex, but becoming best friends. My husband’s ex truly is my best friend, now. It hasn’t always been that way, but now it is and it’s wonderful. Thanks for showing me that I do have something unique! I will be forwarding this information to several people I think you can help.
Fantastic! It’s great to become attached to other achievers and those that aren’t just looking for the rock in the box to make a million to do what? I especially love the passion for what we need to do and fulfill it. Creating a tribe really caused me to focus. We are getting ready to launch my company over the next month and this is really going to help. Interesting enough we are looking for people who have dreams to help others.
